Job Title: Library Director
Location: Blair, Wisconsin
Job Summary: The Blair Public Library is seeking a dynamic new Library Director. The Library Director will be responsible for maintaining a warm and welcoming environment, overseeing budgeting and planning, managing staff, developing the collection, enhancing library outreach, and executing programs for various age groups.
Community/Library Profile: The City of Blair is situated along the Trempealeau River in the heart of beautiful Trempealeau County. The Blair Public Library is located on the second floor of the City Hall building in downtown Blair. The library is open 35 hours each week and is a member of the Winding Rivers Library System (WRLS).
Compensation: $50,000 per year, depending on qualifications, with excellent full-time benefits.
Qualifications:
● At least 54 semester credits, with half in the liberal arts and sciences. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
● Must be eligible for Wisconsin Grade III library certification.
● Technical aptitude, openness to new technology, and a willingness to learn are essential.
