Bridges Library System is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic Coordinator of Library Development to plan, coordinate, and evaluate the continuing education opportunities and training for member library staffs and trustees, approve the continuing education activities for certification of member library directors, and consult with library staffs about continuing education activities and library services for adults. The individual hired will also coordinate regional continuing education opportunities and events for the southeastern Wisconsin (SEWI) region, comprising of five library systems serving 94 public libraries in 11 counties, and collaborate with other continuing education consultants throughout the state.

• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to plan, organize, execute, and evaluate a variety of events, meetings, and learning opportunities
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of principles and procedures of professional library services work, especially services for adults
• Knowledge of professional library theories, issues, and trends
• Knowledge of principles and methods of training, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products
The 2025 starting hourly rate range is $30.91-$35.91 (depending on qualifications; full range extends to $40.87) coupled with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, generous paid time off, and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System, among many other benefits.

You must meet these minimum Training and Experience requirements:
1. Graduation from an American Library Association accredited college or university with a master’s degree in library science/studies.
2. Three (3) years of professional work experience as a librarian. Experience in assigned program area highly desirable.
