Position Title: Materials Specialist
Number of Open Positions: 1
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Pay rate: $15.88 – $20.34 an hour depending upon experience

The Mukwonago Community Library seeks a tech-savvy, innovative leader with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for technical services to work with our dynamic Circulation & Customer Experience Team. Must be excited to supervise and coordinate all activities in the materials processing department, including developing innovative approaches to materials management for our Thingery (Library of Things). Duties include supervising Public Service Associates on routine materials processing and book repair tasks, maintaining processing equipment, managing materials processing workflows, and assisting at the Circulation Desk. Must be friendly, detail-oriented, and possess leadership qualities with the ability to identify and implement workflow improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Required Qualifications:
o Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or vocational training specializing in liberal arts, management, or related fields. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be deemed acceptable by the hiring authority.
o Skilled in utilizing technology to conduct all aspects of the job including communication, record keeping, and customer service
o Ability to communicate in a friendly and cooperative manner to staff and library visitors
• Preferred Qualifications:
o Two (2) years' experience in customer service with preference for library experience
o Demonstrated leadership and innovative thinking
o Experience with technical systems, book processing, Library of Things, equipment maintenance, and process improvement
