The Pewaukee Public Library seeks an enthusiastic and creative Youth Services Librarian dedicated to delivering exceptional library service to children and their families. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, friendly, and tech-savvy individual who is passionate about early literacy, youth engagement, and library programming.
This position averages 26 hours per week, including one evening per week and one Saturday each month.
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program (students within 9 months of graduation will be considered)
• Experience working with children in a public library or educational setting is highly desired
• Strong knowledge of children's literature, child development, and experience with implementing and promoting programming
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour
Benefits include: paid vacation and participation in the Wisconsin State Retirement System.
