PBS Wisconsin seeks a Director of Education to lead an award-winning department that creates free-to-use, standards-aligned PreK-12 classroom media, produces PreK-12 educator professional development activities, and activates national content from PBS KIDS and PBS LearningMedia. The PBS Wisconsin Education department has a deep respect for the educators and community members who they work with every day, taking a participatory, engagement-driven approach to ensuring that learners in Wisconsin have access to high-quality educational media resources and services. In support of our vision that learning is powered by curiosity, the Director develops, implements, and evaluates education production and engagement strategy.
This position is responsible for managing a unit of 15 including three high-performing managers and requires leadership experience in educational media, K-12 education, or informal K-12 learning. It also requires the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and the ability to collaborate with partner organizations. The Director of Education is a member of the PBS Wisconsin leadership team and reports to the Director of Television.
