JOB TITLE: LTE Interim Adult Services Librarian
LOCATION: Portage Public Library in Portage, WI
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work minimum of 16 hours per week at busy reference desk. Assist patrons with computers and fax/print/scan, library catalog, meeting room & study room reservations, answer research questions, some circulation (check-out, place holds). Must be friendly, helpful, and comfortable with technology. Secondary tasks may include creating book displays, processing new items (using Koha system), and other general library work, dependent on experience.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
MLS or equivalent degree. Candidates without MLS degree may be considered if they have minimum of 1 year working directly with library patrons in a public library.
PAY/SCHEDULE: This is a LTE (temporary) position, with a term of 8-12 weeks. The pay is $20.00 per hour, and 16-30 hours per week. This position is not benefits eligible.
