LIBRARY LEGISLATIVE DAY

Tuesday, February 11, 2025

Best Western Premier Park Hotel

(22 S Carroll St, Madison, WI 53703)

Registration - Registration for this event is now closed. Call 608-245-3640 or email [email protected] if you have questions.

Registration closes on January 10, 2025.  No refunds after January 24, 2025.

$45.00 per person for library staff, trustees, and friends of libraries; $25.00 for full-time students (must be enrolled in library science graduate studies; students are asked to show proof of enrollment).

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The adoption of new legislative district maps in early 2024 resulted in many legislator retirements, as well as legislators running for re-election on November 5 from different numbered districts because the boundaries shifted around their voting address.  There are also 40 new freshman legislators in the 2025-2026 legislature.

The Wisconsin State Legislature website information about individual 2025-2026 Senate and Assembly members, leadership and committee assignments has been updated.  Not sure which Senator and Assembly Representative to register for on Library Legislative Day?  CLICK HERE and enter your voting address at the top of the page to learn their names or enter your address into the “Who Are My Legislators?” box on the Legislature home page.

Before You Leave Town

This year, we want to encourage you to invite the legislators you meet with to visit your library.  Please download the invitation letter template below, fill in the details, and print it on your library's letterhead to share at your meetings.  Be sure to print enough copies for each visit (if you are meeting with four legislators, print four copies, etc.).
