The Waukegan Public Library is seeking a collaborative, creative, and tech savvy librarian to serve as the Programming & eResources Librarian.
This role is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of adult programming and exhibits and the promotion and training of the Library’s eResources, online catalog, and other technology tools. The Programming & eResources Librarian will also participate on library-wide events committees and represent the library to community partners.
The Library benefits from a supportive Board, Friends and Foundation groups, and a depth of community partners and local grants. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility, initiative, and customer service skills to be able to provide consistent, supportive services at a busy service desk, seek out new opportunities for programming and technology supports to the community, and continue to enhance our role as a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
Centered in Downtown Waukegan, the Library is located near 1-94, Route 41, Sheridan Road, and has convenient access from the Metra Union Pacific North Station. Local attractions include the Lakefront, the Genesee Theater, an active Arts Council and Historical Society, an award-winning Park District, the College of Lake County campus, and a variety of community events, and cultural celebrations.

Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, $24 per hour.
