Mission Statement: WLA engages, inspires and advocates for library workers and supporters to improve and promote library services for the people of Wisconsin.

Call to Order 

The meeting was called to order and a quorum was established at 10:06 a.m. by President Machones. 

Consent Agenda 

The consent agenda, which contained the minutes of the 11/16/2021 meetings and the current agenda, was accepted on a motion by Reed, seconded by Rae. Passed on a unanimous board vote. 

President’s Report – Sherry Machones 

• WLA Annual Conference Update
• Very positive comments, 459 registered attendees.
• 2022 WLA Legislative Policy Statement
• Peter Loeffel explained that one section had been removed and incorporated into another, and that four negative statements had been reworded to be affirmative. 
• Vreeke moved, Doylen seconded, to approve the statement. Motion carried. 

Loeffel left the meeting at 10:13 a.m.
